Please return all forms as soon as possible.

 

PTO Fundraiser - Spirit Cards - On Sale for $15 - The homeroom that has the most sales will be awarded a Pizza Party. Please support this important fundraiser.

 

"Field Trip / Spirit Tee-Shirts" - Each time a class goes on a field trip or the school has a special event, the students will need to wear this tee-shirt. They are on sale now. You should already have a form that was given to your child earlier. Please return the completed form to purchase your child's tee-shirt as soon as possible.

 

September 1st - Labor Day Holiday - No school

 

5th Grade Math:

 

We are reviewing multiplication tables. Our next quiz will be on Friday on 6-7 tables. For students that do not make 100, there will be a final test on the 6-7 tables on Wednesday Sept. 3rd.

Section 1-1 Place Value through Billions, pages 17-19 and R2 - Quiz Tuesday Aug. 26th

Section 1-2 Compare Whole Numbers, pages 20-23 and R2 - Quiz Friday Aug. 29th

 

6th Grade Math:

 

Section 1-4 Order of Operations, pages 37-40 and 673 - Quiz Thursday Aug. 28th

Mid-Chapter Review - Sections 1-1 through 1-4, page 41 - Mid-Chapter Test  Wednesday Sept. 3rd

 

Reading:

"Saint George and the Dragon" pages 64-72 Vocabulary sentences due Thursday Aug. 28th, Vocabulary and Story Test - Friday Aug. 29th.

We have gotten off to a great start and we are looking forward to a great year!

 

If you haven't returned all of the forms that were sent home on the first day of school, please return them as soon as possible. There will be two additional forms, medical (optional) and emergency, that will be sent home today, Monday August 18th. These forms also need to be returned as soon as possible.

A "Homework Policy and Grading Procedures" letter will be sent home with your child on Monday Aug. 18th. The purpose of the letter is to help the parents and the students to better understand our goals and expectations for the coming year. Please review this with your child.

WELCOME TO YOUR 6A HOMEROOM

 

 

Dear students and parents,

 

 

It really seemed like the summer has passed by very quickly, but I am excited about the beginning of another school year. I look forward to working with each of you to make this a very productive and successful year. I know most of you from the 5th grade last year and look forward to getting to know you and our new students even better.
