ANNOUNCEMENTS

Dear Parents,
Graduation:
It’s finally here, graduation week. Graduation will be this Thursday, May 21st, at 9:00 a.m. in the Cafetorium. This will be a very busy week with lots of things to get accomplished. We will have practice on both Tuesday and Wednesday, twice each day. We will practice first at about 10:15 a.m. and again around 2:00 p.m., depending on other events in the Cafetorium. Please avoid checking out early on either of these days, if at all possible.    We really need this time to practice.
On Tuesday students will need to wear their graduation T-shirt. We are planning to take a class picture with everyone wearing their T-shirts. On Wednesday, students will need to bring their cap and gown for dress rehearsal. If any of the girls are planning to wear heels for graduation, they may want to practice in heels to better prepare. Students will need to write their names inside their caps, since they will be practicing throwing their caps on Wednesday. Please go ahead and put their names inside before they bring them to school. On Thursday students will need to come dressed for graduation.  The students will put on their cap and gown just before leaving our home room for the ceremony. Girls should wear a nice dress that will match their red cap and gown. Boys should wear khaki pants and a polo or dress shirt that will match their red cap and gown. Please make sure your student gets to school on time Thursday to insure time to prepare to go to the Cafetorium together.
After the ceremony, students will need to check-out with their homeroom teacher, in the Cafetorium. You don’t have to go to the office to check-out. You can then take pictures and go to your students’ homeroom to pick up their things.

Graduation Class Party:
There will be a Backyard BBQ at the home of Jackson Senn on Thursday May 21st. It will begin at 12:30 p.m. and last until 3:00 p.m., parents are invited. Please refer to your invitation that was sent home with your student on Monday, or Tuesday if they were absent Monday, for details regarding the party. If you have any questions about the party, call 344-0520.

McWANE CENTER FIELD TRIP REMINDERS

Dear Parents,
First, I would like to say thank you to all those that have already responded regarding the McWane Center field trip.
As you know from our earlier letter, the date for turning in your first payment for the field trip was yesterday, Tuesday, February 17, 2015. We still have not heard from all the parents as of yet. Please let us know your plans. If you haven’t responded and you and/or your child are planning to go on the field trip, we need your money by Thursday, February 19th.
If you want to pay the entire cost of the field trip, it is $42 per student and $37 per chaperone.  If you would like to pay in two installments the first payment would be $21 per student and $19 per chaperone with the final payment being due on Tuesday, March 3rd.
Currently we have a waiting list for chaperones for 6th grade parents. Once we have confirmed the total number of people that will be making the trip, we will be able to let everyone know their status.
Thank you again to everyone for your patience. We are all looking forward to a great and exciting field trip.
