ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

 

Dear Students and Parents:

Thank you all for the Valentine cards, candy, and gifts. We had a great party and everyone enjoyed themselves with lots of ice cream and toppings.

 

McWane Science Center Field Trip: You should have recently received a letter with all the details regarding this trip. Please remember the first payment is due Tuesday Feb. 17th. The final payment should be turned in by Tuesday March 3rd. Please let your child's homeroom teacher know if they will not be attending this field trip.

 

6th Grade Graduation: Each parent should have received an email regarding our 6th Grade graduation. Although graduation is not until May 21st, we are busy preparing for this exciting event. Please be on the lookout for request for information and pictures as we move forward.

 

Huntsville Space and Rocket Center Field Trip: A $10 deposit is due this Friday February 20th, for those that plan to attend this field trip. Also, any parent that would like to be a chaperone should let Ms. Ferraro know.

 

Parents:

Since there are so many events and fundraisers going on right now, please send a note stating the purpose with any money you send to school.

 

 

5th Grade Math:

Section 4-2 Estimate Quotients, pages 152-155 and R10, and Section 4-4 Divide by Two-Digit Numbers, pages 162-164 and R11 - Quiz on both Sections Friday Feb. 20th.

Review for Mid-Chapter Test, page 165 - Mid-Chapter Test Tuesday Feb. 24th.

 

  

6th Grade Math:

 

Section 4-6 Comparing and Ordering Fractions, pages 220-224 and 683, Section 4-9 Ordered Pairs and Functions, pages 233-237 and 684, and Review for Chapter Test, page 243 - Chapter Test Wednesday Feb. 18th.
Section 5-3 Adding and Subtracting Fractions with Like Denominators, pages 256-260 and 685 and Section 5-4 Adding and Subtracting Fractions with Unlike Denominators, pages 263-268 and 685 - Quiz for both Sections Wednesday Feb. 25th.

 

Reading:

 

 The Cay - Chapters 7-15. Vocabulary sentences due Thursday Feb. 26th. Vocabulary and Story Test Friday Feb. 27th.

AR: Students should have completed 60% of their goal. Please encourage your students to continue to work toward their goals.
