ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

 

PTO Fundraiser - Spirit Cards - On Sale for $15 - The homeroom that has the most sales will be awarded a Pizza Party. Please support this important fundraiser.

 

"Field Trip / Spirit Tee-Shirts" - Each time a class goes on a field trip or the school has a special event, the students will need to wear this tee-shirt. They are on sale now. You should already have a form that was given to your child earlier. Please return the completed form to purchase your child's tee-shirt as soon as possible.

 

September 19th - Grandparent's Day Program - 10:00 a.m. in the Cafetorium - Please invite grandparents. - More information later.

 

5th Grade Math:

 

We are reviewing multiplication tables. We had the quiz on Friday on 6-7 tables. For students that did not make 100, there will be a final test on the 6-7 tables on Wednesday Sept. 3rd.

Section 1-2 Compare Whole Numbers, pages 20-23 and R2 - Quiz Wednesday Sept. 3rd.

Section 1-3 Problem Solving, pages 24-25 and R2 and Section 1-4 Fractions and Decimals, pages 26-30 and R3 - Quiz on both sections Wednesday Sept. 10th.

 

6th Grade Math:

 

Mid-Chapter Review - Sections 1-1 through 1-4, page 41 - Mid-Chapter Test  Wednesday Sept. 3rd

Section 1-5 Algebra: Variables and Expressions, pages 42-48 and 673 and Section 1-6 Algebra: Functions, pages 49-53 and 673 - Test on both sections Wednesday Sept. 10th.

 

Reading:

"Digging Up the Past" pages 116-136 Vocabulary sentences due Wednesday Sept. 10th, Vocabulary and Story Test - Thursday Sept. 11th.

 

AR: Goals have been set for this nine weeks. Please encourage your child to read in order to reach their goal. Each nine weeks two grades will be taken for AR. One is for the percentage of goal obtained and the other is an average of the AR test grades.
