 HAPPY NEW YEAR!

 

Dear Students and Parents,

 

I hope you all had a great Christmas holiday and a Happy New Year!

I can't thank you enough for the wonderful Christmas gifts that you gave to me. I appreciate your generosity.

I also appreciate your help with our Christmas Party. We had a great time.

 

 

2nd Nine Weeks Award Ceremony: Friday Jan. 9th at 8:30 a.m. in the Cafetorium. Please plan to attend.

Annual PLAS Deer Hunt: Jan. 9th - 11th. Below you will find a copy of a letter from the PLA Deer Hunt Committee. If you haven't sent your money in yet, please send it in as soon as possible.

 

Report Cards on Achieve: Report cards will be available for viewing on Achieve Friday Jan. 9th.


5th Grade Math:

 

I will be returning the test on the 0-12 tables on Monday. Please use this to review multiplication and division facts with your child. It is essential that students master Multiplication and Division facts. They are the basis for many of the skills that we will be learning the remainder of the year.

Section 3-1 Multiplication Patterns, pages 103-107 and R7, Section 3-3 Estimate Products, pages 112-115 and R8, and Section 3-4 Multiply by One Digit Numbers, pages 116-118 and R8 - Test on all three Sections Tuesday Jan. 13th.

 

 

6th Grade Math:

 

Section 4-1 Greatest Common Factor, pages 197-201 and 681 - Quiz Wednesday Jan. 7th.

Section 4-2 Simplifying Fractions, pages 204-208 and 681 - Quiz Tuesday Jan. 13th,

 

Reading:

 

 "Nightingale" - story from the reading book. Vocabulary sentences due Thursday Jan. 8th. Vocabulary and Story Test Friday Jan. 9th.

AR: We are taking the STAR test this week and will be setting our AR goals for the 3rd Nine Weeks.
